Goal by Summer

Tate has been taking swim lessons this winter.  He has done amazingly well.  About three weeks ago he told me that his goal by summer was to go off the high dive.  Wow seems pretty ambitious (only b/c I don't know if I would do that).  Tate is also one that when lessons started in Sept. refused to let go of the side of the pool and get his head wet.

 

 

Well to make the story short and repeat what I previously said, Tate has done AMAZINGLY GREAT!!  This goal is now in the books.....Check!!! Only about 6 months sooner than he or I thought.

 

And as a side note, these photos were taken on the second time he went off  the high dive.  Had I known he would go off this early in the year I would have brought my camera!

 

Finally SNOW!!!

Half way through December and we finally have some snow!  Last year it was a record breaking year for snow, and this year we have had as close to zero as you can get.  Over the last week we have accumulated about 10 inches.  Tylynn took advantage of a free day and the new snow.  She took a spin on the green machine ;)

 

 

It was kind of cold, but she enjoyed the ride and loved sticking her "white" hand into her mouth after dragging it through the snow.

Recycled Toy and Cheerios

Tylynn is learning to brush her teeth.  She really enjoys sitting on the shower edge with anyone and brush her 5 little teeth.  But don't take the brush away until she is done.

 

 

Tate was helping me clean out our crawl space, and we found one of his old toys....the John Deere Gator.

 

Little legs weren't quite sure what to do at first so big legs helped out for awhile.  Now the little legs have it all figured out even though they are barely touching the ground.

 

Tylynn has also discovered she can get her own snack when she wants.

 

One hand full for herselve and the other is usually for Buford, in no particular order of course.

Halloween

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

We enjoyed carving our pumpkins, and eating orange biscuits and gravy to warm us up.

This is Tate's masterpiece, a MONSTER!

 

And our Hockey Player and Cabbage Patch Kid all ready to hit the streets for some candy.

(our wig did not turn out as planned, but since we already have lots of hair she still fit the part)

Another Year Older

We celebrated the big 30 here.

 

Happy Birthday Eric!!

 

 

Now he can go ice fishing and have a hot drink/meal in less than 2 minutes.

And he can make us all a bloomin onion.  Guess we all benefit :)

Pets and Fun

Meet Bug-Z!

She is the newest addition to our household.

 

 

And she sure is loved. 

 

Even the tiniest fingers like to pet her.  Just needs to be reminded to be GENTLE :)

 

But when a little girl plays with a big brother, she can't always be gentle.

She has to learn how to be tough, fast and ready.

 

Of course a personal pep talk has to happen every now and then to make it through all of brother's racing. 

 

But hey a girls got to do what a girls got to do. . .just keep playing with her big brother and having fun!

Dishes

Our little walker is now a climber.

 

 

And very interested in what is going on of course.

 

A sink of water and dishes to throw in and make big splashes is very interesting.  She loved taking the items out of the rinse water and placing them back into the wash water.

 

But a colandar makes a great hat!

 

Look at me I am all wet and standing in a puddle, but it sure was FUN!
