October update....busy busy

October has been a very busy month, lots going on.
First I was on furlough for about 16 days in October.
While at home, we took a weekend and redid our driveway.  Of course I was busy helping so didn't get very man pictures.  Here is a picture of the gravel being delivered, and almost complete.

And during the first half of my time off, Tylynn and I worked hard on potty training, I think it was a success!  And thanks in part to the cute chair that Daddy made for his little girl.

The second half of my time off, I had a trip planned to NE to see family and friends.  Tylynn and I got to do a lot and see a lot of people.

Ty enjoyed some time at Vala's Pumpkin Patch with Aunt Libby.

Say...oink oink.

And one of her favorite things to do, feed the animals!

We got to see some cousins again.

And meet the new little fella.

Ty got to paint some pumpkins, and thought since she was using her favorite color she might as well paint her feet, hoping mom wouldn't notice :)

It was a group effort between Great Grandma Lorretta and Ty to get dressed after painting.

Success. . .say Cheese!

Then they decided to go for a walk to get the mail, and for G-Grandma's daily exercise.

Great visit with Great Grandma and getting to see her new apartment.

A trip to the Omaha Zoo to see the penguins. . .

. . .and the fish.

Then we travel west across NE to see a college friend and meet the handsome little Tanner man.

He was even kind enough to share his swing with Ty.

And our final destination in western NE we met up with cousin Sophia and her cute little baby brother.  Of course I didn't take pictures of the cutie, but Ty sure enjoyed the "baby."

We enjoyed our visit with everyone.

A few days after we got home, we attended the year end 4-H Achievement Night Banquet.
Tate received a blue ribbon on his record book for the District 4-H judging contest.  He was very excited, as we were proud!  And Tylynn sure clapped and yelled for him, as she did for everyone else :)

We also had a birthday to celebrate.  Ty turned 2!

Her biggest surprise was a kitty for her birthday present.  Her name is Tess.  She was a surprise gift from Daddy and Brother.  It was a surprise to even Mommy, but of course a welcomed surprise.

And along with everything else going on, Tate is busy with hockey.  He had his first game yesterday.  They played very hard and had a good time, despite what the score board says.

And enjoying the kitty.  Tess is a sweety and doing great putting up with a 2 yr old hauling her around the house.
